Dear Researcher,

Information and Communication Technology Sector at Royal Scientific Society is participating in the FP7 European Project Join-MED (www.join-med.eu) which started in 2009 and will end in December 2011.  The objective of this project is the establishment of network between researchers from Mediterranean members and European countries in order to promote scientific collaboration in R&D in the field of ICT.

Join-MED accomplished several steps to implement this objective such as creating MPC
(Mediterranean Partner Countries) directory containing information about researcher from universities, research centers, and companies in MPC and European countries. Join-MED is organizing many networking events between researchers selected from MPC directory. These events aim at putting researchers in contact and exchanging experiences and ideas about the definition of collaborative projects in the field of ICT. Two events were organized in Amman-Jordan in December 2009 and in Hammamat-Tunisia in November 2010.Two other events are planned during 2011.

Jordanian expatriates could play an important role to enhance cooperation between their original and resident countries. Expatriates are invited to register in MPC directory created within Join-MED project and to participate in next networking events. The expenses of travel, accommodation and participation fees for selected participants in these events are totally covered by Join-MED budget.
